- Buying a new car. Don't buy a car based on monthly payments only! You must understand how the interest and the number of years of the loan will dictate what you actually pay for the car.
- Buying a home. Interest rates, points, closing costs and the years of your loan can make the cost of a home double or triple of what you think you are paying.
- Construction work. A carpenter needs to understand basic algebra to make a room or cabinet truly square.
- Electricians need to know how to do load calculations and figure amperage using ohms law.
- Do you have car insurance? Learn how to figure percentages and see how deductibles and combing policies can save you big money.
- Do you love to go shopping? Coupons give you a percentage off on a sale. Math save you money!
- Do you want to retire a millionaire? Learn how to calculate how much money you need to put away a year, for how many years and at what interest rate to reach your goal.
